Cupping & Gua Sha

  • Cups are placed on the skin creating a vacuum using heat or suction to draw tissue, blood, and fluids towards the surface of the body.

  • With the use of a gua sha tool, the skin is "scraped", Gua, along various channels in the body, and "petechiae", Sha, appear as heat and toxins are released.

    When qi gets stuck in the body it causes pain. If qi is stuck then blood and fluids are stuck. With the use of cupping therapy or guasha, circulation is improved restoring the flow of qi in the body, leading to the movement of old blood and fluids, dispelling pain along with any heat or toxins.
